the CONCEPT

The Mission

This was a fun project. This backyard was a mini golf course and as you can imagine it’s never fun taking away a few holes from your mini golf course, unless you’re adding a pool of course!

The Details

The brief was simple, they wanted a freeform pool to blend with their existing yard and this was the perfect location for it. They wanted a minimal amount of concrete decking around the pool which, I’m sure we can all agree, flows perfectly with the design of this backyard.

The Challenge (because there always is one)

What went wrong? My original measurements for access were interrupted by a water spicket for a hose (my mistake). Therefore, we had to switch from our midsize equipment to our mini. From there, we were able to carry on with our project for a seamless pool build. Designer: Ty Smith
