PROJECT REPORT
Carlsbad

the CONCEPT

The Mission

The brief at this project was simple, the homeowners wanted a usable, deep pool that fitted into their existing yard design. They’d spent a lot of money the previous year building an outdoor entertaining area with some really nice pavers.

The Details

With the remaining space in the yard being fairly tight, the biggest pool we could get in was 26’ in length. We did however manage to get them 7’.6” in depth, which was quite a feat and required some serious excavator gymnastics by Manny.

The Challenge (because there always is one)

The main challenge with this project was we had to match the existing pavers, and of course they’d been discontinued by the manufacturer. We managed to track down the last pallet left in the world, conveniently located in Idaho (which is pretty far from Carlsbad). And… I’d measured the access way incorrectly (idiot), so we had to run and get one of our smaller equipment sets on the morning of excavation.
