the CONCEPT
The Mission
For our team, a swimming pool is never just a body of water; it’s the heart of a backyard and the backdrop for a lifetime of memories. We were honored when the Price family invited us to be a part of their homebuying journey. To be entrusted with designing a key element of their future home before they even closed on the property was a profound responsibility that we embraced wholeheartedly. The experience was incredibly rewarding, as we collaborated closely with them to transform their vision into a tangible design. Witnessing the evolution from a simple, uninspired grass lawn into a breathtaking, resort-style pool oasis was a fantastic process that reaffirmed our passion for creating personal paradises for our clients.
The Details
The Price family envisioned a space that could effortlessly transition from high-energy fun to tranquil relaxation. To achieve this, we designed a classic rectangular pool with a modern twist of dedicated play features. Their desire to facilitate lively in-pool volleyball matches guided our decision to engineer a consistent “play-pool” perfect for games and recreation. For moments of peaceful poolside leisure, we integrated an expansive baja shelf entry. This wide, shallow shelf, provides the ideal spot for lounging in the water on a hot day, for small children to splash safely, or simply to sit and dip your toes in. The combination of these two elements created a truly versatile environment, ensuring the pool was perfectly equipped for both exhilarating family competitions and serene, sun-drenched afternoons.
The Challenge (because there always is one)
The home buying process is often dynamic, and the Price family was diligently considering multiple properties, each with its own unique layout, grading, and potential. This presented a unique design challenge: creating a distinct and viable pool concept for each potential backyard. Our design team embraced this fluid situation, seeing it not as a hurdle, but as an opportunity to fully explore the possibilities with the clients. For each property, we developed detailed 3D renderings. While this required significant adaptability and multiple revisions, we firmly believe in providing the best possible customer experience.
