the CONCEPT
The Mission
I’d usually shy away from doing work for friends and family….Even though our projects are trouble free 99% of the time, Murphy’s law will ensure that the one that does go wrong, will be your friends or neighbors.
However… nothing builds a bond like being in the trenches selling girl scout cookies with two fully grown adults, so I was willing to take the risk!
The Details
The brief was simple, nice, small, family friendly pool. Initially a geometric design was floated, but in the end the client decided a freeform best suited their backyard.
The Challenge (because there always is one)
What went wrong… Well, that’ll be my fault. I accidentally put the pool on the wrong side of the yard on the construction plans.. Which caused massive confusion on excavation day. We also lost the keys to one of the bobcats (not my fault) during excavation.
Other than that it was cool running’s. The striking waterline tile choice looks fantastic on the face of the spa!
