PROJECT REPORT
El Cajon

the CONCEPT

The Mission

Another day, another pool built into a slope. This was a project where the homeowner already had multiple bids for the pool. All the other contractors had suggested they build it on the other side of the house. Now, I can definitely see why, as it certainly would have been easier. However, it wouldn’t have been as usable, and it would have permanently been in the shade (and who wants that?)…. Challenge accepted!

The Details

I love the clean finished look of this pool, the white plaster and the Verona marble coping really contribute to the aesthetic.

The Challenge (because there always is one)

The challenge. Well, on this project there where two. Firstly, the custom fire feature ended up being a lot more custom than I anticipated and we had to get it specially manufactured in Arizona, Secondly, the city of San Diego took and age to approve the retaining wall permit, which held us up dramatically. Still, another one in the books, another satisfied customer, and the happiest grandkids I’ve ever seen.
